Program Director

Program History

Creative Learning @FPC grew out of our desire as a congregation to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with our God in a deeper way. In 2004, we set out in teams of 2 to explore the unmet needs in our city and in light of those needs to discern what new commitment to local mission God was calling us to take up. After much reflection and prayer, we determined that our focus was to be ministering to the children and youth of our community. In 2005, a second group of members developed this mission emphasis into the goal of creating an after-school program for children to help Stamford families develop and nurture their children’s life skills and assets. With this vision of our members, faith in God, love for children from all backgrounds, and the leading of the Holy Spirit we began a program that we hope will have a meaningful impact on our community.

While Creative Learning @ FPC is an integral part of our mission, it is intended to be a service without regard to race, creed, sex, or color. Our objective is to provide quality care and learning opportunities for children in an atmosphere that embodies the good news of God’s love for all persons.
